Attend our supplier engagement sessions on ethical procurement

The Government of Canada is committed to protecting human rights and combatting the exploitation of vulnerable people in Canada and abroad. To further this commitment, earlier this fall, suppliers were invited to share their insights on human trafficking, forced labour, and child labour in federal supply chains through an online questionnaire.

Based on the information gathered from this questionnaire, Public Services and Procurement Canada will be delivering engagement sessions on ethical procurement. The aim of these sessions is to provide suppliers with a forum where they can discuss challenges and opportunities in combatting human trafficking, forced labour, and child labour in federal supply chains.

Suppliers are invited to attend one of two available sessions, either in person or online.

Senior departmental officials will be present at each session to:

  • outline key human and labour rights priorities
  • engage with suppliers to address concerns
  • lay the groundwork for ongoing dialogue on shared efforts to safeguard federal procurement supply chains

These bilingual sessions will be taking place on January 31 and February 14, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm (Eastern Time) at 111 Sussex Drive in Ottawa, Ontario.
